What are your different long distance plans?

G3 offers different long distance plans that are specially tailored to your needs:

  • Access Dial Prepaid: Available in Regular or Plus
  • Access Dial Monthly Billing: Available in Regular or Plus
  • Direct Dial: Available in Regular or Plus

Our postpaid service, Direct Dial plan, lets you dial directly without any access codes or PIN numbers to enter. With no contract or any prepayment required, you conveniently receive your billing monthly. There are no confusing plans - just great rates, quality and service!

We offer either prepaid or monthly billing options with our Access Dial plans. You may choose between the Regular or Plus plans, depending on the billing option you prefer. You don't have to switch your existing long distance carrier to be able to use this service. We will give you an access number from your city and set up the phone numbers you wish to register with G3. There are no PIN numbers to enter!

Where are your long distance services available in?

Our Access Dial long distance service including unlimited plans and bundles, are available all across Canada and the USA.

Direct Dial is ONLY available all across Canada with the exception of Yukon, Nunavut and NWT.

Can I use your service outside when I travel?

If you would like to use the service from outside your home or when you travel within North America, ask our customer service representative and you will receive a calling card in the mail within two weeks of your order.

Can I use your services from my cell phone?

Yes, you can use our services from your cell phone. You will still be charged your usual air time and any roaming charges (if outside your regular coverage area) by your service provider. Our plan is great for cell phone use because you avoid paying the high long distance charges that most cell providers charge. If you plan on using it often - you can program the access number as a speed dial in your cell phone.

How do I place a long distance call with my cell phone?

If you use a smartphone, consider using the G3 SmartDialer. This free mobile application allows you to make low rate long distance calls directly from your contact list, address book, phone screen or email view without having to dial long access numbers or PINs. Can I use your services from a public payphone?

You may call long distance from a payphone using our toll-free numbers. An applicable surcharge will apply.

What is the minute increments you charge?

All calls are charged by the minute. For example, if your call lasts for 6 minutes and 30 seconds, it will then be billed at 7 minutes.

What are special country code terminations?

Special country code terminations are international toll numbers assigned to certain institutions in different destinations such as government institutions, banks, hospitals, universities, army bases, etc. A higher rate may apply to any of these destinations.

What are the different payment options?

You can pay by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

Prepaid Regular customers may also pay by Interac, cash or cheque.

Prepaid Plus and Monthly Billing (Access Dial or Direct Dial) customers may also pay by Pre-Authorized Payment (PAP).

Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?

Yes, it is perfectly safe. Our website is a secure site as we employ the latest encryption technology.

What is Access Dial?

G3's Access Dial is a dial-in service. What this means is you don't have to switch your existing long distance carrier. We set up a primary phone number and up to two (2) secondary phone numbers from which you will have access to our service. You then dial our seven-digit access numbers (from your city), followed by the long distance number you wish to call. There are NO PIN numbers required to dial.

You can program the access number as a speed dial in your phone, so it is easy to use. From outside the phone numbers you set up with G3, we will provide a calling card for you to use. Access Dial is available in Prepaid or Monthly Billing option.

What are the different Access Dial options?

Access Dial is available in Prepaid or Monthly Billing option.

Prepaid Options:

  • Add a minimum $5 to start using service (you will hear the balance of the funds available on your account every time your use the service).
  • No monthly bills to worry about.
  • No monthly minimum usage.
  • With Prepaid, you can choose our Regular or Plus rates:

    Prepaid Regular - Simply add funds to your account as needed. Your balance remains on you account until it is used up. You will hear a one-minute warning when your funds are low and will be disconnected. You may sign up for Auto-Recharge to automatically add funds to your account when your balance becomes low.

    Prepaid Plus - You will enjoy the lowest rates to call all destinations. Enrolment in Auto Recharge is a requirement.

Monthly Billing Options:

  • No need to recharge or add funds to your account to make calls.
  • Pay by credit card every monthly billing cycle.
  • Unlike the prepaid plans, you don't have to recharge or add funds to your account to make calls. You simply pay by credit card every monthly billing cycle.
  • With Monthly Billing, you can choose our Regular or Plus rates:

    Monthly Regular - No minimal fees.

    Prepaid Plus - You will enjoy the lowest rates to call all destinations. A minimal fee of $0.99 per month applies.

What is Auto Recharge

Auto Recharge is a service provided to our customers that allows us to automatically recharge your account, once your account is at $5 or lower, for an approved amount of money. With Auto Recharge, the advantage is you don't have to phone us or go on the website to keep adding funds to your account. Our system will automatically add money to your account when your balance is low.

Using Auto Recharge lets you enjoy our PLUS Rates - these are our lowest rates to call all destinations. Auto Recharge is faster, it's more convenient, and you get to save even more.

How do I recharge or add money to my G3 account?

For a quick recharge or to contact customer service, simply following these 3 easy steps:

  1. Dial your normal access number.
  2. Press * once you are prompted for the phone number.
  3. Follow the voice prompts and select your recharge option.

You may still also recharge by logging into your G3 account at www.g3telecom.com, or by using our automated recharge system at 416-499-2121 or 1-888-556-5849.

Why not sign up for Auto Recharge? Our system will automatically add money to your account when your balance is low so you don't worry about adding funds to your account.

How do I use your Access Dial service?

How do I apply or set up my account for Access Dial?

Simply fill out our application form, either online or call our customer service at 416-499-2121 or 1-888-556-5849 (Canada) or 1-866-935-9218 (USA).

What is Direct Dial?

Direct Dial is a service that lets you dial directly without any access codes or PIN numbers to enter.

  • Available in Canada only
  • Switch your long distance to G3
  • No access numbers to dial, just pick up the phone and call
  • No hidden charges or contracts
  • Monthly billing by email - postpaid
  • Calling card provided, use when you travel or from your cell
  • Monitor all your call details online

How can I apply for Direct Dial?

You can simply register by filling out the sign up form to create your account. Or you may call our customer service at 416-499-2121 / 604-484-5923 or 1-888-556-5849 and we will be happy to set this up for you. Once your application has been submitted to us, please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be processed.

To check the status of your application, you may call 1-700-555-4141 from the phone number registered with G3. If you hear the message "Thank you for choosing G3 Telecom as your long distance provider," you are ready to use our service. If not, please allow a few more days for your order to be processed.

What are your Direct Dial monthly billing options?

We have two (2) monthly billing options:

  • Direct Dial Regular - A minimal fee of $0.99 per month applies
  • Direct Dial Plus - Enjoy the lowest rates to call all destinations. A minimal fee of $1.99 per month applies

How do I use your Direct Dial service?

To begin using the service, just pick up the phone and dial the long distance number you wish to call.

If you hear the message "Thank you for choosing G3 Telecom as your long distance provider," you are ready to use our service. If not, please allow a few more days for your order to be processed.

A welcome package will be sent after activation.

Is there a credit limit on my account?

There is a default credit limit of $75 on an account. If you reach this limit, you can still use the service but an interim invoice will be created and your credit card charged.

At the end of the month, the regular billing will be done and the balance owing will be charged to your credit card. For example, if you made $100 worth of calls in a month, $75 will be charged from your credit card when you reach this limit and another $25 will be charged at the end of the month. As a result, your credit card will be charged twice but only for the total usage in the month.

Increasing Credit Limit

To increase your credit limit, call our customer service at 416-499-2121/ 604-484-5923 or 1-888-556-5849 to get a credit application.

Reaching Your Credit Limit Before 30 Days

Once you've reached the credit limit, you can still make calls but an invoice will be created emailed to you and your credit card on file will be charged.

Can I apply for multiple business lines?

Call our customer service and mention that you are a business customer and one of our representatives will be happy to assist you.

What are your different unlimited long distance plans?

Our unlimited long distance plans are available to either existing or new G3 customers. You can add an unlimited plan on to your existing Access Dial or Direct Dial plan, or you can simply enrol in any of our unlimited plans if you only wish to call Canada, USA, India or over 40 countries. With G3's unlimited plans, you can talk as much as you want without worrying about your minutes.

Two Unlimited Plan Options:

  • Unlimited North America - $19.95 per month
    Unlimited calling within Canada and the USA 24/7.
  • Unlimited World + India - $19.95 per month (first 3 mos.) / $29.95 per month (after 3 mos.)
    Unlimited calling to India, North America (Canada and the USA) and over 40 countries 24/7. The $19.95 monthly fee is applicable only for the first three months. This one-time offer requires 3 months of continuous service or the regular monthly rate of $29.95 will apply.

Unlimited plans are only available on a single phone number, and are intended solely for normal residential and non-commercial use. Calling cards and PINs are not offered for unlimited long distance plans. G3 reserves the right to limit or cancel the service at our discretion.

What are your One Cent Unlimited Bundles?

Our One Cent long distance bundles are available to either existing or new G3 customers. You can add a bundle on to your existing Access Dial or Direct Dial plan, or you can simply enroll in any of our One Cent bundles if you only wish to call Canada, USA or over 40 countries. With One Cent Bundles, you can save up to 66% on your long distance calling to Canada, USA and over 40 countries!

Three One Cent Per Minute Bundle Options:

  • 500 Minutes to North America - $4.95 per month
    500 monthly minutes to call within Canada 24/7.
  • 1,000 Minutes to North America - $9.95 per month
    1,000 monthly minutes to call within Canada and the USA 24/7.
  • 1,500 Minutes to World + India - $14.95 per month
    1,500 monthly minutes to call India and over 40 destinations in Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia 24/7.

Note: Any minutes used in excess of your bundle's allotted minutes per month will be charged at the regular rate of the plan you are on.
